Genetic Study of Plasma Protein in Korean Population

Abstract
|
|
|
Genetic polymorphisms of apolipoprotein AI(Apo AI) and Antithrombin Ⅲ (AT Ⅲ) of plasma in Korean population were examined by means of 2-dimensional isoelectrofocusing SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and vertical polyacrylamide gel isoelectrofocusing.
The results were obtained as fallows:
1. The two Apo AI phenotypes, Apo AI 1 and Apo AI 2―1 were detected in Korean population.
: Apo AI 1 and its varient type, Apo AI 2―1.
Apo AI 2 type was not found.
2. Only AT Ⅲ 1―1 type was found in Korean population. AT Ⅲ 2―1, 3―1 and 4―1 isoprotein were not found in Korean population.
3. The gene frequences of Apo AI alleles caculated to be 0.985 for apo AI ^*1, 0.015 for apo AI ^*2, and AT Ⅲ alleles 1.00 for AT Ⅲ ^*1
4. Based on the above results, AT Ⅲ was monomorphic and Apo AI isoprotein was polymorphic in Korean population.
